Anna + Ian in the DR.

Through G.O. Ministries, REUNION partners with Pastor Luis Vargas and his family in the Dominican Republic. The Vargas family works tirelessly to share God's light and love with their impoverished neighborhood, La Mosca. Translated as "The Fly," La Mosca is a squatter community next to a trash dump outside of Santiago. Most families survive on less than two dollars a day, and for many, picking trash is their main source of income. It is a place held hostage by disease, addiction, crime, illiteracy, and malnutrition.

Since 2007, REUNION has given financially, provided for special needs (like a ministry-enabling truck and a fridge for the nutrition clinic), and more importantly, supported them relationally. Thanks to this partnership, Luis is able to serve food to 100+ hungry kids six days a week, provide medical care, and seek out and meet the needs of those in his community. Each year, REUNION sends a team to help with construction, offer a medical clinic, and encourage Pastor Luis's family.
